Laser Dentistry in Basalt, CO

Revolutionary Laser Dentistry

Thanks to constantly changing innovations in dental medicine, we can provide our patients with more accurate, effective, and trustworthy results using laser dentistry. It serves as a safer alternative to many traditional surgical procedures, helping to preserve more of your natural tissue. For this reason, Dr. Steinbach and Dr. Van Gorden are proud to offer this advanced technology to Colorado patients in Aspen, Wingo, Snowmass, El Jebel, and the surrounding areas.

Laser treatment minimizes pain and recovery time for maximum convenience. Since there’s no need to cut into your tissue, the risk of bleeding and other complications is greatly reduced.

Elevate Dental Wellness is proud to utilize the Fotona LightWalker, the world’s fastest-cutting, and most versatile laser. Because of its accuracy, this laser helps make our conservative, holistic approach to dentistry possible.

Can any dentist perform laser treatments?

Is laser dentistry painful?

Laser dentistry is virtually painless, but Dr. Van Gorden or Dr. Steinbach may use one of our sedation dental solutions to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible during the procedure.

Is laser dentistry covered by insurance?

Many of the procedures that we perform with our Fotona laser are covered by dental insurance. However, the laser technique itself typically isn’t covered by insurance. This means that, in most cases, choosing laser therapy for a procedure will add to your overall cost. However, the long-term benefits will pay off over time.

How long does it take to heal from laser dental procedures?

For the first week following your laser treatment, we recommend eating softer foods and avoiding chewing in the location of the procedure.

Depending on the severity of the issue, it generally takes two to four weeks to completely heal. While you may resume normal brushing, we advise you to proceed gently and carefully during your healing process.

Can any dentist perform laser treatments?

In order to offer laser dentistry, a dentist needs to complete training programs using laser technology. A certification in laser dentistry is a good indication that a dentist has mastered the field and can be trusted with the safety of your smile.

Both of our dentists have many years of experience working with dental lasers, so you can feel totally confident going into your treatment.
