What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are a restorative treatment that fixes smiles that have been damaged by missing teeth. They’re the only long-lasting solution that replaces an absent tooth entirely from root to crown. This attractive restoration functions just like your natural teeth.
Dr. Van Gorden and Dr. Steinbach feature dental implants for our Aspen and Basalt patients so they can attain stunning smiles through our safe and effective procedure. Whether you’re looking to replace one or more missing teeth, a full arch, or you’re interested in a snap-in denture to replace your traditional one, we’re eager to help you reach your desired oral health.
The Restoration Process
Your journey to a rejuvenated smile starts with a consultation with one of our qualified implant dentists. Here at Elevate Dental Wellness, we utilize innovative technology that helps us design a precise and suitable treatment plan just for you.
Once our highly-skilled dentists have created your treatment plan, we’ll schedule your implant placement as soon as possible. Then our implant dentist will surgically place your implant fixture, the part of the implant that forms a secure attachment to your jawbone.
Through a process known as osseointegration, your jawbone will bond with titanium fixture. Once this process is complete, you’ll return to our office and your implant dentist, will place your new permanent crown. Your porcelain crown is custom-crafted to blend in with your smile.
Getting Ready for Your Dental Implants
Our tooth restorations are customized to each individual so your dental necessities and goals can be achieved. However, not every patient will be ready for dental implants right away. Dr. Van Gorden and Dr. Steinbach will first examine the health of your smile. If you have strong gums, healthy teeth, and good overall oral health, you’ll most likely be immediately cleared for our restorative treatment.
For those who may require one or more additional treatments to improve their oral health and prepare for the dental implant process, we offer supplemental treatments. For example, we may need to extract any damaged teeth to prepare the surgical site for treatment. Or, some patients may require bone grafting to fortify your jawbone so it can better support the implant.
