Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a cover or “cap” that’s placed on the tooth to restore its natural shape, size, and function. Crowns can be used to fill a cavity that’s too large for a traditional filling, cover a dental implant, fix a cracked tooth, and more. Porcelain crowns usually last 10 to 15 years, but they can have a lifespan of 25 to 30 years if cared for properly.

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is used to fill in the gap created by missing teeth and can replace up to four missing teeth with a dental bridge. The restoration consists of natural-looking prosthetic teeth called pontics, which are anchored on either side by your adjacent teeth. We’ll also cap these teeth with durable porcelain crowns for additional support.

Full and Partial Dentures

Whether you’re in need of full or partial dentures, we can customize your restoration to fit your mouth comfortably. We’ll ensure you that your new set of dentures will look and feel natural, whether you need to replace a few teeth or a full arch. For your health and safety, our dentists only work with laboratories that utilize toxin-free materials for your dentures.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are the only permanent and natural-looking solution for missing teeth. Implants are the preferred solution because of their unmatched strength and stability, which allows them to last a lifetime. Dental implants naturally integrate into the jawbone, so you can eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

Full-Mouth Rehabilitation

At Elevate Dental Wellness, we’re committed to finding solutions for every dental need. That’s why we offer full-mouth rehabilitation solutions to help you create a brand new smile all at once. We’ll address all the necessary problems, so you’ll feel confident in the look and the functionality of your smile.

With years of post-graduate training in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, Dr. Schuyler Van Gorden offers full-mouth rehabilitation for even the most complicated dental issues. Full-mouth rehabilitation consists of a series of procedures designed to address your needs. This highly individualized treatment is designed to improve the appearance and restore function to your smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do my teeth keep chipping and breaking?

Can you repair tooth enamel?
Why do my teeth keep chipping and breaking?

Teeth can chip or break due to a number of factors, including:

  • Weak enamel
  • Poor oral hygiene
  • Tooth Decay
  • Eating disorders
  • Acid reflux
  • Contact sports
  • Acidic foods
  • Excessive teeth grinding

If your tooth is chipped, cracked, or broken, visit Elevate Dental Wellness as soon as possible to avoid further damage, infection, or possible tooth loss. Our dentists can use a variety of restorative dentistry methods depending on how severe the damage is. A chipped tooth can be fixed with a dental filling, bonding, a crown, or porcelain veneers. If you’ve chipped a tooth in the past and had it bonded, the bonding may last around ten years before the procedure needs to be repeated.

Is a chipped tooth a dental emergency?

A chipped tooth is usually not a dental emergency, and you can wait a few days to visit your dentist. However, if your tooth is knocked out of alignment, cracked, or broken, this constitutes a dental emergency. If you don’t immediately visit our Basalt office in one of these situations, you risk losing the tooth altogether.

Can you repair tooth enamel?

You can’t repair or restore lost enamel because your body isn’t able to make new enamel. However, you can strengthen your enamel through a process called remineralization. By eating foods and using products that contain minerals like phosphorus and calcium, you can strengthen the existing enamel and keep your teeth healthy.

Minimizing erosion of the tooth enamel is the key to having strong, healthy teeth. You can minimize erosion by maintaining a healthy and mineralized diet, brushing and flossing correctly, avoiding acidic foods, and more.
